Murcia Cycle Routes

The Bay of Portmán offers stunning and varied scenery on the edge of the Calblanque Natural Park and just a stone's throw away from Los Alcázares.  In order to get there you'll need to cross the Sierra Minera (twice) which is the mountain ridge visible if you look south across the Mar Menor.

Often cyclists complete the exhilarating descent into Portmán and then climb straight back out.  However, we'd recommend a visit to the beach with its chiringuitos (beach bars) overlooking the black sand beach. For a final challenge take the optional climb up to the mine at the back of La Union.
